Thinking of You

Hi everyone!  It has been awhile since I have posted!  I am back to working full-time again and loving it.  I work at a fantastic company with a great bunch of people.  However, as you can see from the card, I have been "Thinking of You."  This was stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Tombow markers and a blending pen.  The first two layers on card have been cut and embossed with Nestabilities.  I added Dewdrop embellishments.  Hope you enjoy this card!

Butterfly "Thank You So Much"

Hi, friends!  It has been several days since I have posted here.  I have a new job!  Yes, I have come out of retirement and am working full-time at a job I just dearly love.  So I have less time for cardmaking and posting but I will be able to overcome that.

This little Butterfly card was done on off-white card stock that was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder on my "Bug".  The butterfly was die cut and embossed from Cuttlebug's combination set.  The brown butterfly paper was punched with a Fiskars punch.  The sweet sentiment is from a cute little stamp I found at Hobby Lobby.  Hope you like the card!

"HI" Card

This is such a quick and easy little card.   I embossed my white card with the Swiss Dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  I then chose some really cute and funky paper and punched out 1" circles.  The ribbon across the card matches the papers.  I cut the "HI" on my Cricut.  I outlined the letters with a black fine point Creative Memories pen.  It will be a really cheerful little card to send for a variety of occasions.  Give it a try!

Fleur de Lis card

This was a embossing technique I learned on Paper Craft Planet yesterday.  It is called the "Faux Metal Tin Ceiling" tutorial.  The pink cardstock is covered with clear embossing ink and then I added pink embossing powder and set with my heat gun.  After the paper cooled, I repeated the process.  After this cooled again, I ran this paper through my Cuttlebug with the Fleur de Lis embossing folder.  I trimmed my paper to fit my card, added the ribbon and flower with a brad.  The tag is from Stampin' Up's tag punch and stamps set.  The embossed paper feels almost like leather or vinyl when it is completed.  The example in the tutorial was done with silver embossing powder on grey paper.  Go to Paper Craft Planet at this link http://www.papercraftplanet.com/video/faux-metal-tin-ceiling  to view this tutorial and then give it a try.

Thinking of You w-happy words

A few years ago, I attended a Stampin' Up class and made this card.  The stamps are from Stampin' Up, of course and were stamped on glossy paper.  I used a white crayon to mark between the sayings (where you see the white now) to serve as a resist.  Then several different pastel stamp colors were passed over the image.  The effect is really pretty.  The stamped paper is mounted on black and then pink cardstock.  The tag is then stamped with the sentiment, layer with pink and black cardstock, and then attached with the ribbon to the card.

You only live once....on a PINK base card

Well, I decided to make a change in this card.  The white card base just wasn't doing it for me SOOOOOOOOOO, I gently removed the black cardstock, etc. and put it all on a PINK card base!  The reason I was able to remove it is that I had adhered it at first with GlueGlider Pro.  I only use the repositional glue tape because for some reason the permanent version just gunks up on me.  I was able to remove and re-adhere with no problem.
It's a woman's perogative to change her mind, right?
